Terms of Service
The terms that govern residency and use of Amerah's Women's Sober Living.
Last updated: October 28, 2026
1.Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an application, scheduling an intake interview, or accepting residency at Amerah's Women's Sober Living (“Amerah’s,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not apply for or accept residency. These Terms form a binding agreement between you (“resident” or “you”) and Amerah’s.
2.About Our Services
Amerah’s Women’s Sober Living provides a clean, sober, structured, and supportive residential home for adult women who are committed to a drug-free lifestyle and ongoing recovery. We offer a safe living environment, furnished accommodations, house structure, peer support, and connections to local recovery resources. Amerah’s is a sober living home and is not a licensed medical, clinical, or detoxification facility. We do not provide medical care, psychiatric treatment, counseling, or detox services.
3.Eligibility & Residency
Residency is open to adult women (18 years of age or older) who are committed to maintaining sobriety, are able to follow house rules and structure, and are either working, attending school, volunteering, or participating in an outpatient recovery program. All prospective residents must complete an application and intake interview. Acceptance is at the sole discretion of Amerah’s. We reserve the right to decline any application for any lawful reason.
4.House Rules & Resident Conduct
Residents agree to abide by all house rules, which may include zero-tolerance policies regarding alcohol and illicit substances, random drug and alcohol screenings, reasonable curfews, mandatory attendance at weekly house meetings, cleanliness and chore expectations, and respectful conduct toward other residents, staff, and visitors. House rules may be updated from time to time, and residents will be expected to comply with the current rules. Violation of house rules may result in warnings, loss of privileges, or termination of residency.
5.Fees & Payments
Residents are responsible for any agreed-upon program fees, rent, or contributions as outlined in their individual residency agreement. Payment terms, amounts, and schedules are separate from these Terms and will be provided during the intake process. Fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in your residency agreement or required by applicable law.
6.Termination of Residency
Amerah’s may terminate a resident’s residency immediately, without prior notice, for violation of the zero-tolerance substance policy, threats to the safety or sobriety of other residents, or other serious misconduct. For other violations, we will use reasonable efforts to provide notice and an opportunity to cure where appropriate. Residents may end their residency at any time by providing the notice specified in their residency agreement.
7.Disclaimers
Amerah’s provides its home and services on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee any specific outcome from residency, including sustained sobriety, employment, or personal results. Recovery is an individual journey, and each resident is responsible for her own progress and decisions.
8.Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amerah’s shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of property or personal injury, arising out of or related to your residency or use of our services, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
9.Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your residency shall be resolved in the courts located in San Bernardino County, California.
10.Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued residency after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
